Candle Care

We are so glad your Àníké scented candle has found its way to you.

Each candle is handcrafted with 100% natural soy wax, high-quality fragrance oils and eco-friendly wicks. Every batch is tested for performance and is CLP compliant in line with International Fragrance Association (IFRA) guidelines.

A burning candle is an open flame, so safe and proper use is important. The guidance below will help your candle burn beautifully and safely.

Before You Light

  • Use long matches or a long-reach lighter when lighting your candle

  • On first burn, allow the candle to burn for up to 4 hours so a full melt pool can form

  • Always keep the wax pool free from wick trimmings, matches and debris

Ongoing Care

  • Trim the wick to 5 mm before each burn to help prevent soot and residue

  • Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time

  • Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame where possible

  • Once the candle has cooled, replace the lid to help protect it from dust and preserve the fragrance

Safety Guidance

  • Keep hair and loose clothing away from the flame

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended

  • Keep out of reach of children and pets

  • Do not move the candle while burning or while the wax is liquid

  • Do not use a candle as a night light or while you may fall asleep

  • If the flame becomes too high or flickers repeatedly, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool, trim the wick and check for drafts before relighting

When Your Candle Is Nearly Finished

When approximately 1.5 cm (½ inch) of wax remains, discontinue use.

Once fully cooled and the wax has hardened:

  • Remove the label

  • Place the jar in the freezer overnight

  • The remaining wax will contract and can be gently removed

  • Wash the container with warm, soapy water

Your jar is then ready to recycle or repurpose.

We hope your candle brings calm and comfort into your space.
