Yay! we see you have purchased your Àníké TLC scented candle, we know you want great value for your money and an amazing self care experience.It is also important to note that a lighted candle is an open flame, and a potential fire hazard if not carefully monitored. We want to make sure that you understand the safe and proper use of our candles that is why we wrote this.
Our candle has been delicately handcrafted with 100% natural soy wax, premium fragrance oils and eco-friendly wicks, all of which are vegan friendly and cruelty-free. It has also undergone several testings and it is CLP complaint according to International Fragrance Association (IFRA).
Before you light your candle, kindly read the candle care tips below as this will ensure your candle last longer and it burns safely:

Before you light your candle, kindly read the candle care tips below as this will ensure your candle last longer and it burns safely:
- When lighting a candle, use long matches or a long-reach lighter.
- At first light, burn candles for 4 hours so that the melt pool can form.
- Keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
- Subsequently, always trim wick to about 5mm (0.5cm) before lighting to prevent residue build up.
- It is advisable to burn candle no more than 4 hours at a time.
- The best way to put out a candle flame is with a snuffer. When the candle cools, ensure to cover in order to prevent dust and lock in the fragrance.
- Keep your hair and loose clothing away from the flame.
- Do not leave candles unattended.
- Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
- Never touch or move a candle while it is burning or while the wax is liquefied.
- Never use a candle as a night light or while you may fall asleep.
- Extinguish a candle if the flame becomes too high or flickers repeatedly. Let the candle cool, trim the wick, and check for drafts before re-lighting.
- When you have 1/2 an inch of wax left, that is a good time to stop burning your candle. When fully cooled and the wax has hardened, remove the labels and put it in the freezer overnight. The wax will contract and then be easier to crack and remove from the glass. Wash with warm, soapy water and your container is ready to repurpose! You can repurpose it as a planter:)
