International Women’s Day 2022: Combatting Period Poverty

All over the world in March, we celebrate International Women’s Day and spotlight the issues affecting women. This year’s theme is #Breakthebias!  I feel it’s a good time to champion one of the causes that have been on my heart - Period Poverty.

Period poverty is a worldwide issue affecting millions of women and girls who struggle to afford or access safe menstrual protection. All through March, I’ve decided to donate 5% of our gross sale to Freedom for Girls.

Freedom for Girls is a UK based organisation that works to support those who menstruate by challenging the stigmas, taboos and gender inequalities associated with menstruation. They do this by providing education, providing period products, promoting product choice and supporting environmentally and financially sustainable options.

When you purchase from our online store in March, 5% of your purchase goes towards supporting this just cause of combatting period poverty. They are also donating sanitary supplies  to Ukraine to help  women and girls who are affected by the war.

Happy International Women’s Day!
